Once upon a time the thought of our wedding day,all the attention and focus on us, made my cheeks rosey and throat dry, since we are pretty private when it comes to the mushy stuff. But now that the end is in sight, I want nothing more than a day to share the love we have, because I am pretty damn proud of it.
I have kept the diary free for the weekends in the lead up - with exception to my hens weekend - to prepare any last minute DIY projects, follow up guests, confirm appointments and bookings and get the occasional massage.
If there was one thing I wanted to ensure through this process, is that I made the most of it all. Flying to New York to pick my wedding ring up from Tiffany & Co (when there is a Tiffany's down the road from here), then across to Perth to meet with our photographer and celebrant. But most importantly, thorough research on dreamy wedding images and decor ideas through so many beautiful blogs (and of course Pinterest!).

Looking back at our 11 month engagement I see how many decor ideas I loved. Describing my theme as dreamy, rustic, eclectic, floral, vintage, fun, not-over-the-top or cliche, garden party. - "Can someone get this girl a thesaurus, I don't think she has enough words!"
Anyway, this weekend is MEGA-filled with jobs to do. We are doing a practise run of the photography shoot (timing of travel to locations etc), finishing off our programs and gifts for the guests, meet with our florist and cake decorator - oh yeah, and write our vows!
The only sad thing about getting to the pointy end of an event is people start requiring payments, so our bank account is depleting by the day, so decided it is best NOT to check online banking for the next month, or until my card stops working... (<- best idea all week!)
If you are engaged, or just love staring at dreamy weddings (guilty!), then I would love to share my main sources of inspiration. Since there is a plethora of blogs and ideas out there and I will continue to share them throughout the next few weeks, including specific weddings I have bookmarked.
