Mondayitis Medication: A Week to Let Go and Follow My Dreams

Monday, 23 July 2012

What an exciting week that lays ahead, so lets jump right in shall we?

I feel like my 'dark' winter time (aka the winter blues) is well and truly passed, the sun is out, the sky is blue and I full to the brim with positive and happy energy.

This weekend we took time out to have some fun, which usually involves walking the dogs, talking for hours over good coffee at our favourite cafe, Friars, and becoming master chefs in the kitchen - last nights dinner was mountain bread organic chicken and vegetable lasagne with homemade chunky chips!

I must share The Poo Story, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves mostly, but it is a case of one naughty dog, one pile of stinky poo and only one option to clean her before we get back in the car. - you can see her covered in it in the first two pics.

This week I made a commitment to myself to take time out from my full time job and spend 3 solid days completing assignments from my Graphic Design study, to completely absorb and delve into the world of creativity. Sounds pretty rad to me!

My motivation was uplifted last week when I came home from work to see my husband buying a Mac AND loading Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop I suddenly felt VERY energised to dive deeper into the Graphic Design Course, my creative space in my home suddenly became a sanctuary where I would spend many hours upon hours editing and creating magic. BLISS!

Which makes me so proud of our relationship, not in the sense that he knows how to spend a dollar on me, but that he is rock solid supporting this venture I am chasing. Which can be quite a risk, as we reflected today on our past employment fields and what we liked/didn't like and what we want to be (which I have broken out into its own post for later this week).

This week is about chasing your dreams, if you don't have any, thats ok to. Just do what you love.

I wrote a very BIG BOLD statement to my life coach last week which was about how I picture my ideal life. While this task was super scary and emotional, I feel like the sun is beaming down on our pathway, that life is pretty darn good now and will only reach new heights, regardless of the hurdles.

So, I want to hear about it, what is it that makes you happy? What will you do just for yourself this week?
