I feel like life is travelling exactly as it should be. While the little nomads in us want to book the next flight to anywhere and take a nice break/adventure, we are reaping the rewards of playing the grown up card and doing home renovations.
This quote couldn't ring any truer, not that my life is terrible or boring, but that I want to create a sanctuary at home. One that makes people feel totally comfy and inspired. This quote also resonates with financial goals, since travelling is so darn expensive it is hard to create safety nets or invest in other hobbies and activities.
Weekend Recap
I need to share with you my new member of the family, a yarn Moosehead. Not a real moose of course (that could be quite hilarious - a declared non-meat eater with dead stuffed animal head on her kitchen wall). Totally suits the new style we are going for in this kitchen/meals room - which is a bit rustic, colourful and different.
We met with gorgeous friends and discussed their upcoming wedding, at which I will be the photographer. EEEP! Actually, after the meet up I was really excited. I can't wait to contribute to their big day.
A great part of the weekend was moseying around with Ray, grabbing (too many) coffees and picking up some RAD decor for the home. Thank you to Exhibit and Fenton and Fenton.
Actually, I have decided to give up caffeine for a while. Last week I said "Coffee is my vice" and after experiencing the effects of a few too many on Saturday, I realised how bad it is for me. Watch this space, this lady is on green tea!
Today I also met with another lovely Bride-to-be to plan her day - I am going to be her 'on the day coordinator'! She has some amazing decor style taste and I am super stoked to be a part of it all.

Pics take in the streets of Hosier Lane, Victoria Market and Flinders Lane Melbourne.
Making me smile this week: Getting a new lens - Canon 50mm 1.8 / More time off work / Body Shop makeup / Champagne night with Mum / yarn moose heads / Melbourne - in general / daily walks with Ray to talk and unwind from the day / unexpected surprises and a thoughtful husband / Nirvana / spotlight / the upcoming wedding season! / hosting parties.
What's on your love list this week?

That is a great quote (Seth Godin is super smart, isn't he?)! Some people do travel to get away from their "real lives" but it's so much more valuable and beautiful when it's a part of your life rather than an escape.
ReplyDeleteThe yarn moose head is amazing!! xx
I love this Mon... you've made me very excited for my Melb trip next week with those gorgeous photos! Hope all is amazing in your world (sounds like it is!) xx
