Mondayitis Medication: Planning festivities

The incredibly energising weather across the weekend has me ready to go this week. Ready to plan, create and host a gathering of our beautiful friends this weekend.

For the blokes, it is the AFL grand final, a few pies, snags and a beer fridge is enough right? Actually quite wrong, for a girl who loves to host this weekend is about creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests, delicious and well presented dishes, fresh cocktails and yes, the football (somewhere in the background). I married a Victorian Country boy at heart where AFL is a bloodtype and a way of life. So in my attempt each season to cheer for his side, be flexible as possible when the Geelong are playing (plus any sides who might hold his supercoach members) and support weekly training sessions and matches, the AFL Grand Final signifies a celebration for the ladies too, when it returns our husbands.

Last week was very productve and a great process for me. We began the declutter process and got some order back into our lives. I felt I was stuck in a little rut with my study and photography, feeling like I need to reach and connect, perhaps work amongst professionals in the respective fields to truly feel inspired and get moving. On the same token, I haven't dedicated much time to my creativity with all the decluttering going on  - as organisation station Monika took over!

So here is the promise to myself:

You only get out what you put in, for the next 2 weeks I commit to taking photos every day. A mix of lifestyle, people, animals and nature. I will find my groove again.

Just a short one this week as I spend a bit of time on the phone to insurance and panel beaters - my little car was in a minor accident on the weekend, thanks to some insane Friday night driving by a stranger who reversed at full speed into my parked car!

Making me smile this week: Seeing interstate friends for a WHOLE weekend / hosting a party / making great decisions for my body and development / productivity x 1,001 / opportunity / connecting with strangers / warm sunshine / potato cakes (yes naughty, but SO good).
