Mondayitis Medication: bring back the wedding buzz

Monday, 15 October 2012

I might start off to apologise for my absence over the past couple of weeks, importantly I took some time out for myself. You know those moments (or in my case weeks) where stuff isn't inspiring you, the ignition isn't clicking over and in the words of Austin Powers "I've lost my mojo" - ok maybe not that extreme. But you get my drift?

The universe always comes back and gives you an uplifting boost, in whatever means necessary.

This week is about reminiscing back to our wedding, after a surprisingly great phone call on Friday afternoon and little interview this morning... I will be able to share more with you in late November, but it's super exciting.

Also, preparing for my first ever wedding photography gig. This could be the start of something beautiful and that's kinda a really super cool prospect.

Also, being the on-the-day coordinator at a gorgeous local wedding in a few weeks.

And, the honour of being a bridesmaid in a wedding next year.

Now, with all that wedding gush, who wouldn't be excited!?! But mostly, when someone believes in your ability, it is really powerful.

Even though I am technically working this weekend, we have booked a couple of nights in the area, the wedding is on the Mornington Peninsula (aka my old digs). I say it about a gazillion times on this blog, but I reaaallly love it down there and with stellar weather lined up, I'll sure be sitting on a beach relaxing this Sunday.

Making me smile this week: getting to play with my dream camera for 2 days (Canon 5D mark III) this week / getting back some energy and into the groove of things / Gossip Girl returning to our TV sets / strawberries / an excuse to buy Cosmo Bride - to see the lovely Rach McDonald / seeing this cutie (below) for a photo sesh yesterday (more to come this week of him!)

What's making you smile this week?

  1. This week I am smiling because the sun came out yesterday - yep Vitamin D is a wonderful thing and I have missed it so!
I am also feeling pretty happy and super proud of my students who sat their Year 12 Indonesian exam today. Although some could have prepared more adequately, nothing better than seeing kids acing in an area that you have taught them for the past 5 years. What little legends! Best part of the teaching profession!
Loving to see a little more on the blog too - hope you're feeling recharged lovely xo
